Argo, a new theatre company based in Paris, is seeking English-speaking actors of all profiles to begin a roster for future productions and cast its inaugural production this coming spring of William Shakespeare’s Richard the Third, directed by Adam Alexander. Argo strives to foster a creative atmosphere that is diverse and inclusive, where honesty and authenticity are paramount, uniting artists and audiences through a desire to explore.
Production details: Argo is creating a reduced version with 6-9 actors of varying ages (Richard and Lady Anne already cast). Versatility is key as actors will be required to play multiple roles. Looking for raw, agile, interesting actors that are flexible and engaging.
Pay: Argo is a new company that is committed to compensating artists. Therefore a small stipend will be provided, based on the number of performances and ticket sales.
Audition requirements: please submit a self tape to argotheatrecompany@gmail.com by 18th December. This should include a Shakespeare speech or soliloquy in verse and a contemporary piece of your choosing of one to two minutes each. If you choose to record yourself in 3/4 shot, please include a full-body shot at some point during the recording.
